CURTAIN NET MATERIALS:
The Fabric shall be plain warpknitted polyester net which is flame-retardant to British Standard BS 5867 Part 2 and have minimum burst strength of 550kn per square metre. Lead weights taped and sealed shall be treaded through end returns and be removable for curtain cleaning purposes. The lead weight shall be 400gms per linear metre width bomb blast curtain. All threads used for stitching and seaming shall be staple fibre or continuous filament polyester ticket no 70 – 120 (ref RS 6157).

CURTAIN LENGTH EXTRA OVER FULL LENGTH OF WINDOWS:
Additional lengths of bomb blast net curtains are required for each window dimension. The following table indicates the additional length of net curtain in relation to the window height from cill to head.

Up to 2450mm 920mm
2451 – 2750mm 1070mm
2751 – 3350mm 1520mm
3351 – 3950mm 1980mm
3951 – 4550mm 2130mm
For any window over 4550 high the contractor shall confirm the recommended additional length with the bomb blast curtain manufacturer.
The following table indicates the additional width of curtain in relation to the window dimension between reveals.
